Most of us wants to smell good through out our busy day. Before we head out that front door, we make sure that we sprinkle ourselves with one or two spray of our favorite fragrance. But hours after, the scents fades and we tend to reapply or just go through the rest of the day like that. How do we really make the scent last all day? Are there any perfume out there that can really last that long? Are there any secrets in applying it? These are some of the few questions we have in mind when buying a perfume.
Agnieszka Burnett, a self-taught perfumer and co-founder of Nomaterra, a travel-inspired fragrance company, explains and reveals some important tips on how to really extend your lingering scent.
1. Apply perfume right after you take a shower or bath. “When you take a warm shower, the steam causes your pores to open,” says Burnett. “If you apply fragrance right after you get out, your pores will soak up the scent better and it will last longer.”
